Indications

CEFUTANG-500: CEFUROXIME AXETIL 500 MG Tablet is used in patients with various bacterial diseases. It is administered to patients undergoing surgery to avert infection. It inhibits bacterial growth. This antibiotic is used to treat bacterial diseases only; it doesn’t treat viral infections. When COVID-19 is a bacterial disease that requires antibiotic therapy and is suspected or confirmed, patients have been helped by using cefuroxime.

Administration Of Dose

• Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet is administered in a dose of 500 mg twice a day. It is an average dose, but it is left to the discretion of the physician to fix the actual dosage and frequency, considering the patient’s health, onset of effect, and maximum level after one hour of administration of this drug by the patient. Symptoms of infection improve in 48 hours. 
• Normally, a dose of 500 mg of Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet is prescribed to patients with Otitis media, chronic bronchitis, and Lyme disease. But for other Indications, a dose of 500 mg of Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet may also be prescribed based on the patient’s medical condition, age, and weight.

Side Effects Of Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet

Some Side Effects of Cefuroxime Axetil tablets include pain in the abdomen, headache, breathing difficulties, dysentery, and painful urination. Kindly consult your physician if these Side Effects persist.

Precautions

• Instruct your treating physician if you have any allergies before using cefuroxime, including penicillins, other cephalosporin antibiotics (e.g., cephalexin), or any other type of substances. 
• You should tell the doctor who is treating you about your kidney disease, bowel disease (colitis), liver disease, and malnutrition before you take this medicine. This drug may contain aspartame. 
• Ask your doctor how to safely take this drug if you have phenylketonuria (PKU) or another disease in which you need to avoid aspartame (or phenylalanine).
