Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1%
TERBACT Cream
Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1% Cream is used to treat many types of fungal infections on the skin and nails, like ringworm. It works by killing the fungi that lead to the infection.
Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1% Cream is for use on the skin only. The area that is hurt should be clean and dry before you put on this medicine. Keep using it until you finish the whole course, even if you start to feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too soon, the fungi might keep growing and the infection could come back or get worse.
The most common side effects of this medicine are reactions where it is applied, such as burning, irritation, itching, redness, and skin peeling. These are usually not serious, but tell your doctor if they bother you or last more than a few days. Don’t touch your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you come into contact by mistake, wash it right away with lots of water. You need to tell your doctor if you don’t feel better after four weeks of treatment.
Other medicines that you take by mouth or get as shots probably won’t change how this medicine works, but it’s important to tell your doctor about all the other medicines you are using. Tell your doctor if you’ve ever used a similar medicine and had an allergic reaction. Moms who are pregnant or breastfeeding should talk to their doctor before using it.
