Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.025% lotion- This lotion contains fluocinolone which is used to treat various skin infections like seborrheic dermatitis (a condition which causes itchy, red and greasy/scaly patches on the skin), psoriasis (causes scales and itchy, dry patches on the skin, mainly elbows and knees), eczema (dry, inflamed, and bumpy skin), dermatitis, allergies, rash, etc.

Chemical Class: Corticosteroids

Mechanism of Action: Fluocinolone treats skin inflammation, and swelling, and relieves itching. It also prevents redness that can occur in various skin-related problems.

Habit-forming: No habit-forming tendencies were reported.

Precautionary measures

Drug warnings

1. Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.025% lotion should not be applied to open wounds, cuts, and damaged skin.
2. Pregnant women should not use this lotion as it is a pregnancy category C medicine. Doctors will prescribe the lotion only if necessary.
3. This medication can prevent growth in some children. Monitor the child you have been applying this medicine to. And if you witness delayed growth in your child, ask for an alternative from your doctor.
4. Patients having a history of diabetes metillus should use the lotion only after a thorough consultation with their doctor.

How to use Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.025% lotion

• Wash the affected areas only with water.
• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Apply a thin layer of Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.025% lotion on the affected areas. Do not apply too much or too less.
• Let the applicated site absorb the lotion and then wear clothes.
• Do not touch or rub the application site.
• Wash your hands before and after use.
• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth.

Storage requirements

Store in a cool and dry place, avoid exposure to sunlight. Ensure that children and pets cannot access the lotion.
