Coal Tar  & Salicylic Acid Soap: Salicylic Acid + Coal Tar is a type of medicine referred to as a ‘keratolytic agent’ that is mainly applied to treat skin problems such as psoriasis and dandruff, and manage seborrheic dermatitis. Salicylic Acid + Coal Tar decreases the hardening, thickening, and scaling of the skin. Psoriasis is a skin disease where skin cells grow as much as 10 times as quickly as normal, causing a build-up of the skin into bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales. These most often appear on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back. Salicylic Acid + Coal Tar consists of two drugs: Salicylic acid and Coal Tar.

Salicylic acid is a keratolytic drug. Salicylic acid adds moisture to the skin and breaks down the material that makes the skin cells adhere to each other. It disintegrates the clumps of keratin, exfoliates dead skin cells, and makes the skin soft. Salicylic acid is a topical antibacterial as well as an anti-inflammatory agent. Coal tar is a group of drugs called keratoplastics. It functions by eliminating dead cells on the upper layer of the skin and reducing the rate of skin cell growth.

Instructions to Use:

• Take Salicylic Acid + Coal Tar Soap every day, but refer to your physician for dosage and treatment duration.
• Wash your hands after applying Salicylic Acid + Coal Tar Soap.
• Salicylic Acid + Coal Tar Soap should be kept away from the nose, mouth, or eyes. If by mistake Salicylic Acid + Coal Tar Soap comes in contact with these places, then water should be used to rinse thoroughly.
• Work the soap into a good lather and massage it into the affected areas using your hands. Massage gently in circular motions and rinse with clean water.

Storage:

Store this Soap in a cool and dry place. Don’t store this soap in direct sunlight, and store it out of reach of children and animals.

Dosage:

Use this soap appropriately as instructed by your health care professional. Excessive application of this soap can cause burning and redness. Do not apply this soap to an open wound.
